Do you know what are they famous for? How many of these 21 names do you remember? They are all Param Vir Chakra, the highest armed forces gallantry award, recipients. Yet how many names we remember. Yet the above video promises that India will remember Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan forever. No nation can ever do that. That’s why there is a statue of Unknown Soldier in every country or something like that, as in India we have ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’.
So what we should do? It is our duty not to remember Sandeep but to take steps that no other shares the same fate with Sandeep, Vikram, Somnath any of them. If every person in the border or the coast had done their duty I don’t think there would have been any Sandeep Unnikrishnan. If everyone in the country does her/his duty right as a citizen of the country then there would be no more terror attack. No neighbours can enter your house if there is no help from your side. Let do our duty than brooding over slain soldiers, and cursing politicians or the authority. By saying not to curse the politicians or authority I mean that don’t sit in your house and swear, protest against them by coming out on roads and make them know your problems, it’s a duty of a citizen too. The tribute to our thousands of Jawans who have given up their life for the country will be given by and only by doing our duties to our country, because they have embraced martyrdom as a part of their duty.
